Fore Her is a 501(c)3 organization that was started in memory of Founder Amy Walsh’s mother and aunt, who both lost their battle with breast cancer, to financially support patients currently battling breast cancer and their families.

 

The organization started initially as a gathering of Walsh's family for a golf outing to celebrate their memory. Remembering how financially taxing breast cancer was on their family, they transformed the event into a fundraiser, creating the Jeanete Hansen/Barb Schultz Golf Outing in Saginaw, Michigan.

When Amy Walsh moved to the Emerald Coast, she wanted to continue to make an impact. She founded Fore Her in July of 2013 and planned the organization's first golf outing fundraiser.

 

Now, Fore Her has expanded into a far-reaching support organization for breast cancer patients, using three signature events (Tea Fore Her, The Fore Her Golf Outing and the Pink Walk) to raise funds and financially assist local individuals diagnosed with breast cancer and undergoing treatment.  Funds raised are used to pay for mortgage/rent or utilities or helping with auto repairs for patients to get to treatments.
